The Start of a Family Business

DeWane’s Garage was opened in 1955 by Donald DeWane and Richard DeWane as DeWane Brothers.  In 1962 Don purchased the entire business and it became Don DeWane’s Garage & Equipment Co. Inc.  Automotive repair, towing, gas station, school bus fleet management, a Ford tractor dealership and even a small luncheonette occupied the property in the beginning.  

The 2nd Generation

In the summer of 1972 Don’s son Denny officially started working at the shop. When Don started to think about semi-retiring his daughter Wendy began working as the office manager in 1990. 

The 3rd Generation

As the years went on and the business grew, Denny’s sons began working for the company.
